bent - k.i.s.s.e.s.
from “music for barbecues e.p.” (2000).
bent´s early recordings completely lived from their shameless sampling of obscure, “uncool” vocals and building a sleek, new song out of the fragments. they apparently really like greek chanteuse nana mouskouri whose vocals they used several times.
here they use a 1967 german recording of her “küsse süsser als wein” (kisses sweeter than wine) which strangely enough didn´t become a hit with the german gay crowd who celebrate the strange, never changing as an icon of the “schlager”-scene.
